CCG Selected to Provide Equipment Integration Services for the IRS Enterprise Computing Center

The Internal Revenue Service is building an addition to the existing Mechanical and Electrical Plant at their high security Enterprise Computing Center (ECC) located in Kearneysville, West Virginia. This project includes demolition of existing equipment, addition of new equipment and the coordination of equipment and controls necessary for operation of the completed system. Truland Systems, as the Electrical Contractor is to deliver a complete and operational electrical system using a phased construction method requiring careful coordination of multiple complex systems in order to not interrupt operation of the facility at any time during construction. The interfacing of new and existing equipment and systems is critical to the successful completion of this project. Truland and the General Contractor, Grunley Construction sought a firm skilled in the design and operation of technology intensive mission-critical facilities to provide the knowledge and guidance necessary for the successful integration of systems for the planned facility. CCG Facilities Integration was selected to facilitate the integration of the critical electrical systems. These effort will require the review and evaluation of documentation related to work performed by others, construction sequence and phasing plans, critical equipment procurement and installation, Building Automation Systems, Power Monitoring and Control Systems, Record Drawings, Sequences of Operation, electrical metering, and Electrical Power Studies. CCG will then facilitate and structure the technical coordination among the various equipment vendors. After successful installation of the integrated systems, CCG will participate as a key member of the critical infrastructure Commissioning Team during the planning, acceptance testing and training activities.
